Palin?

McCain's choice of Alaska governor Sarah Palin is the most breathtakingly cynical political pick since Bush I nominated Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. Fortunately for all of us, Senate confirmation isn't part of the process for electing Vice Presidents, so I'm hopeful that we won't see her sworn in next January.
